Warda El-Kaddouri is a literary scholar and a journalist. She obtained her PhD in German literature at Ghent University in 2019. Since then she is working in Amsterdam as a freelance journalist for De Groene Amsterdammer and as an editor for Rekto:Verso. In 2020 she was nominated by deBuren and PILAR as ‘Scherpsteller’, a new title for upcoming thinker in Flanders. In 2021-2022 she will be the newly elected curator for the Humanities Academy of Ghent University working on decolonisation.
