Robin Block

Robin Block is a poet, musician, playwright. In his work he explores the boundaries of language, sound and movement. Robin won the jury prize for best musician in the singer/songwriter category at the ‘Grote Prijs van Nederland‘ award show. Succeeding he performed at many festivals and TV shows including ‘De Wereld Draait Door‘ and released three studio albums, of which ‘Lagu Rindu‘ is in Indonesian. He travels frequently to Indonesia where he performed at the Literature and Ideas Festival in Jakarta and the Ubud Writers Festival in Bali. Poems from his two published poetry collections have been included in several anthologies, among others by renowned Dutch anthologist Gerrit Komrij. Currently he is working on his new poetry collection ‘Manual for the Displaced’ about his family history in Indonesia.
