Marieke Polderdijk

Marieke Polderdijk (she/her) moves, films, calls out, sings, plays, draws, sculpts, performs, and writes. Marieke was born in 1994 in a small village in flat Zeeland and studied Creative Writing at ArtEZ in hilly Arnhem. Marieke creates performances, excursions, shows, and installations in text, image, movement, and voice, focusing on physical action, connection with the people present, ritual, exploration, and play. Marieke has written for publications such as Kluger Hans, Samplekanon, and De Revisor.

Her performances have been seen at the Wintertuinfestival, Frontaal, Ode aan de Betekenis, Geboortegrond, and Kunst op de Koffie. In 2018, Marieke won the preliminary round of Write NOW! Nijmegen with her poetry, and in 2021, she was selected to participate in the Slow Writing Lab.
