Lamia Makaddam

Lamia Makaddam studied Arabic language and literature at the University of Sousse. After completing her studies, she migrated to the Netherlands. She has published five poetry collections in Arabic. Her work has been translated into Dutch, English, French, and Kurdish. In 2000, Makaddam won the El Hizjra Literature Prize.

She translated the novels “Jij zegt het” by Connie Palmen and “Malva” by Hagar Peeters into Arabic.
