Karin Amatmoekrim (she/her) is a writer and literary scholar.

She has previously published six novels, including the highly acclaimed book “Het gym” (2011) and the historical novel “De man van veel” (2013) about the life of resistance hero Anton de Kom. The documentary made by Gulsah Dogan about the memoir “Tenzij de vader” (2016) was nominated for a Golden Calf. Currently, Amatmoekrim is working on a dissertation in the form of a biography about essayist Anil Ramdas. She also has a regular column in NRC Handelsblad and is working on a comprehensive history of Suriname.
