Hannah Chris Lomans

Hannah Chris Lomans is a writer. They studied Creative Writing at ArtEZ and participated in the Slow Writing Lab, a free master’s program supported by the Dutch Foundation for Literature. In their writing, Hannah Chris departs from both a desire for and a belief in transformation. Text, for them, is a space where they can embody a radical yet precarious fluidity. In 2020, Hannah Chris took part in the Paris residency of the Flemish-Dutch House of theBuren and published the chapbook “Blijf de kou wegstrijken” (Keep Striking Away the Cold) with Wintertuin Uitgeverij. Their texts have been featured in publications such as De Gids, De Revisor, nY, and NRC Handelsblad, as well as on the stages of Brainwash Festival, Wintertuinfestival, Nieuwe Types, Perdu, De Nieuwe Liefde, and Frontaal. Currently, they are working on their debut poetry collection, titled “Carrying a Body,” which will be released in September by De Bezige Bij.
