Esmé van den Boom

Esmé van den Boom (1993) writes prose, poems and songs. She began writing while studying Dutch and English.

She performed her texts and music at the Frankfurter Buchmesse and at festival like Noorderzon, Dichters in de Prinsentuin and Onbederf’lijk Vers. She made it to the finals of Write Now! 2017 and was selected for the Das Mag Summer camp. In 2016-2017, she was the University of Groningen’s resident poet and to celebrate this she published the volume Zomerwee (Sickly Summer). She has been nominated for the prestigious Hendrik de Vries stipend 2018.
