Cem Sorguç

Architect and radiomaker Cem Sorguç started writing music in 1991. He works for Açık Radyo 94.9 / İstanbul (The Open Radio), which was established in 1996. He started a radio program based on Simon Reynolds & Joy Press’s “The Sex Revolts Gender, Rebellion, and Rock ‘Roll” book. Ever since he has been broadcasting on various programs for 22 years.

During the years 1996-2007 Sorguç did interviews and wrote music articles for Turkish music magazine “Roll”. In the 1990’s and 2000’s he performed as a DJ at various venues, festivals and parties. Since the 1990’s, he has been writing for various journals and newspapers about architecture, art, exhibitions and literature. He was a member of the advisory board of IKSV Jazz Festival for 4 years between 2008-2012, and one of the advisory members of the music club Salon İKSV between 2013 and 2014. He is an architect and academician.
