Ayden Carlo

Ayden Carlo (he/him) is a writer and dramaturge. He graduated from the Writing for Performance program at the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2013. Ayden primarily writes for theater but also flirts lovingly with film and prose. He has worked for and with Raymi Sambo Maakt, Aluin, De Toneelmakerij, Het Zuidelijk Toneel, Bijlmer Parktheater, and Queering the City of Literature.

In 2023, he received the Theaterteksttalent Stipendium (Theater Text Talent Grant) from the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds for his concept Multi-Love: a theater text in which he explores the end of activism through consensual non-monogamy.

Ayden writes in order to travel physically and mentally, to dream with open eyes, and to be as little bound by place and time as possible.
