Anastasis Sarakatsanos was born in Athens. He studied cultural anthropology and folk music in Greece, continued his studies in the United Kingdom, focusing on mixed composition techniques – theater, music for film & media. Since 2006, he has worked as a music director and teacher for various theater productions in Greece, UK, and the Netherlands.
Since 2015 he lives in Amsterdam, where he develops his work in storytelling and combines it with music, creating solo and collaborative shows as well as curating and hosting storytelling and music events.
