Zus ‘n Zo organizes a reading club where the book “The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives” by Read My World 2023 curator Lola Shoneyin takes center stage. In a peaceful and comfortable setting, Shoneyin will read a few passages from her book and engage in discussions about the topics with host Mojdeh Feili and the audience.

The novel “The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives” examines patriarchal structures in Nigeria, where polyamory is a common form of love. These relationships place importance on fertility. Other themes that will be addressed include the significance of education for women’s emancipation and power dynamics within families.
