Revolutionary Fairytales
Who didn’t grow up with Cinderella, Sinbad the Sailor, Hansel and Gretel or Aladin and the magic lamp?
For centuries fairy tales and folktales have been passed down from generation to generation. At a young age they teach us to give meaning to the world around us. These orally transmitted stories are considered an essential part of human survival and can therefore be found in every culture and in every history right down to the deepest layers of society.
Four writers selected revolutionary stories and fairy tales from around the world and share them with us. Master storyteller Sahand Sahebdivani (who else!) leads the way through the Read My World Fairytale Forest.
