Moving in a changing world: Migration and Diaspora Literature

During the Read My World Festival, you can visit our book market on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the oasis of Tolhuistuin! This market is entirely dedicated to books and stories about migration and diaspora, themes that concern us all in a world that is becoming increasingly closed off. Come stroll and browse along the book stalls, join the reading club of “Zus ‘n Zo,” and meet our curator Lola Shoneyin. Participate in a translation workshop, listen to the author interviews with Helon Habila and Vamba Sherif, and absorb current knowledge. There is ample space for reading, relaxing, and socializing.

The book market is free to visit and is also accessible for people with disabilities.

With participation from, among others: American Book Center, Fort van Sjakoo, Bijlmer Bookstore, Uitgeverij Wilde Haren, and many others!
