SLAA and BYMEKAAR invite performing artists for a unique, one-off exchange on the stage of Read My World.
BYMEKAAR, founded by Marc Alberto and Sjaan Flikweert, is a concert series in which artists are paired up for spontaneous encounters on the floor. Performing artists create adventurous word and music performances on the spot, completely improvised and accessible in nature.
During this edition of the Read My World festival, poet Kayo Chingonyi, pianist S’yo Fang, writer LemuĂ«l de Graav, ‘singer-songwriter’ Mirte Hartland, musician Michelle Samba, and poet and dancer Sjaan Flikweert meet each other to create poetry and music together in which ‘The Beat of Belonging’ resonates. They invite you to experience the magic of improvisation.
