An ant circle forms when a group of army ants loses its pheromone trail and becomes separated from its colony. Circling, the ant seeks to find its trail again. There is no guarantee of return, no witnesses to the mourning. And yet, traditions survive the violence of destruction and extermination.

In “wilde dood” (wild death), poet marwin vos and artist Uýra reveal traces of loss, destruction, and mourning. Language and body are employed to question the distinction between individual and ritual, colony and human, ecology and nature.
