Steff Geelen (1995) is a writer of prose, poetry and theatre. She also creates interdisciplinary work for the stage and performances. Steff uses language as a means to explore themes such as power, masculinity, the body and metamorphosis. In November 2023, Wintertuin Uitgeverij published the chapbook ‘De scheidingen’, which was nominated for the J.M.A. Biesheuvelprijs. In these stories, the lives of the characters are disrupted by physical and magical metamorphoses. Steff received the TheaterTekstTalent Stipendium 2025 for the play in progress ‘Tomboy Theorie’. Steff is currently working on this play and on their debut, which will be published by Uitgeverij de Bezige Bij in 2026.
