Rachel Rumai Diaz (she/her) is a writer, poet, performance artist, and teacher. With her word art, she builds a dynamic bridge between art and activism, highlighting the power of Artivism in topics such as intersectionality, identity, colonial and slavery history. Both on stage and behind the scenes, she uses her platform to create awareness and make more space for unheard voices. She is one of the authors in Afrolit: an anthology of modern literature from the African diaspora and was recognized by NRC as one of the 101 new talents in the cultural field from the Netherlands and Dutch-speaking Belgium.

Rachel is the founder of the feminist literary festival “Zus en Zo,” a platform that focuses on intersectionality and sisterhood.
