Hank van Bosstraten

Hank wears many hats, but storytelling is always at the heart of everything he does.

Whether working as a television producer (with documentaries and reports for broadcasters including NTR), a singer (although he has since left his recording career behind), a stand-up comedian (from becoming a finalist in the Stand-Up Comedy Competition at the Amsterdam Kleinkunst Festival to performing at national and international comedy festivals in Utrecht, Rotterdam, Barcelona, Luxembourg, and Mumbai, as well as co-founding the Utrecht-based collective Comedyhuis), a festival host (including Lowlands), or as a programmer and moderator (most recently at Amsterdam’s Podium Mozaïek through his own events and in collaboration with the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam), Hank believes that without a strong story, every action is ultimately meaningless.

Whatever the story may be, Hank values authenticity, credibility, depth, respect, attentiveness, and connection—without ever becoming overly serious. Whether telling his own story or helping to tell someone else’s, he never loses sight of the inherent value within every narrative. For him, it is essential to reveal that core to an audience, creating a genuine exchange through which people can connect, understand one another, and remain connected.

Above all, Hank loves a good story.
