Emma Hanubun loves writing and aims to introduce the Moluccas, particularly its people, to the world. All of her poems focus on the Moluccas, death, and women.

Her experiences exploring the various islands of the Moluccas have given her insight into the diversity and social dynamics of Moluccan society. She is a member of Bengkel Sastra Maluku and has read her poetry on several occasions alongside international poets.

She contributed to the anthology Katong Pung Orang (Our People, 2020) and to a children’s storybook published in 2023. She is currently preparing to publish her first poetry collection
