Christelle Menassa is a Lebanese-Dutch writer, translator, and media creator. In her work, she explores the continua and tensions between language, identity, and movement. She was initiated as a translator in the methods of the Beirut School of Translators and Interpreters (ETIB), and she combined translation studies with research on language preservation in North Carolina. She later studied media, communications, and development at the London School of Economics and Political Science, which further placed her applications of the craft of writing and translation within the frames of mediated histories of domination, resistance and liberation.
