Chris Keulemans is a traveling writer. His home base is Amsterdam North. He was a goalkeeper for the Voetbal Vereniging voor Gemeente Ambtenaren (Football Association for Municipal Employees), a night porter at De Waarheid, and the founder of Tolhuistuin. He has been active with Verdedig Noord since its very beginning, opposing gentrification and advocating for a solidarity-based city. In his latest book, Vriendschap (Friendship), he travels to Ramallah with Massih Hutak.
