BOI AKIH consists of Monica Akihary on vocals and Niels Brouwer on guitar. BOI AKIH is also the entire world, in which everything that lives, makes sound, and listens is connected to one another. Entangled, the newest album, was recorded as a duo, but can also be performed with a larger ensemble.

Entangled is BOI AKIH’s eleventh album. Here it focuses on the “bigger picture” , the interdependence of humans and nature and its vulnerability. This is music that exists in the tension between composition and improvisation. Spontaneity feeds the urgency and intensity, while an underlying structure provides stability. This music draws freely from many musical styles but never submits to them. It emerges in the very moment of creation itself.
