(1971) is a spoken word artist, writer, host and, from 2023, Dutch Poet Laureate for two years. For ten years she has been organizing Palabras, a platform for young poets and writers in Paradiso. She subsequently became artistic director of Poetry Circle Nowhere. Babs appears at festivals, literary programs, in museums, debate centers and libraries, and reads on radio and television.

Her work expresses social involvement and urgency. In 2019, Hardop will be published, a collection she compiled with the work of 18 Dutch spoken word poets. She will make her debut in 2021 with her poetry collection Doe Het Toch Maar. In 2022 she was one of two winners of De Johnny, an oeuvre prize for stage poetry. Gons also writes stories, articles and columns. A collection of the stories from Het Parool was published in 2022 under the title Everything You Love Will Be Beautiful.
