Artistic director Alida Dors, theatermaker and choreographer, embodies the principles of hip-hop culture: learning by doing, a crew mentality, and each one teach one. These principles resonate in all of Alida’s work, because for her, every team is polyphonic. With the individuality of each crew member, with text, with music, and a powerful, rich dance language, one plus one always equals three in Alida’s work. She is curious about others, the city, and how Theater Rotterdam can play a role in that. This attitude resonates in Theater Rotterdam’s credo: “I am through you”.
